WorldWide - The Global Jazz Network.Com launches it very own Jazz radio station, The Global Jazz Radio & TV Network. The founder/creator, Jazz recording artist Tamm E Hunt says “We will be specifically presenting the music of members of The Global Jazz Network.Com.”
She continues “The idea is to give broader exposure to the emerging and established artists who are members of TGJN.” She muses “It’s the best new music you never heard.”
A recording artist and jazz singer, Hunt is the founder/creator of The Global Jazz Network.Com and no stranger to the Jazz industry. She says the changes in the industry and the way exposure is mandated for artists has prompted the launch of TGJN and it’s very own jazz radio station, The Global Jazz Radio & TV Network.
The singer/jazz activist/visionary/author sees the launch as a major value added service to the Jazz community and emerging and established artists, labels, managers, authors, journalists, broadcasters and all who are in the “Jazz Business” and have a message to convey and welcomes them to join the movement. She says “We are wide open for ideas and encourages submission of ideas be sent to globaljazzradio@aol.com
If there is a catch, it would be that you must first join The Global Jazz Network.com and only then can we accept your MP3 File submissions to be considered for airplay. The only other rules are that you must complete the free web page, with all questions answered, music, video, photo and bio uploaded. It’s free to join and with that, the joiner gets a personal web page and easy to use tools and widgets. Labels, artist managers and other jazz professionals are invited to create individual pages for their artists and companies.
The Global Jazz Radio & TV Network transmits from the TGJN website as a 24/7 365 WorldWide JAM! syndicating on several sites online at our sister sites: www.jazzburgher.ning.com and www.baltimorejazzine.com with more locations coming soon.
In addition to the TGJN PlayList, Tamm E Hunt will host a weekly three hour radio broadcast “24/7 365 WorldWide Jam!” on TGJN member Brett Lewis’ new www. Blues Jazz Radio.Com and feature interviews, special presentations and music created by TGJN members every Saturday, May 14, 2011, 9 pm til Midnight.
Hunt adds "We are very excited about our jazz radio debut! And as we expand there will be guest presenters and added programming. We have some unique ideas for our audiences.” In the works is a series of shows called “Global Jazz Bytes” - exclusive interviews with musicians and jazz experts.

Pharoah Sanders (born October 13, 1940) is a Grammy Award-winning American jazz saxophonist.
Saxophonist Ornette Coleman once described him as "probably the best tenor player in the world." The Top 50 Releases of 2012/JazzTimes/February issue 2013
If you combined all Top 50 releases in terms of hard copy sales. Would it amount to 250,000 units sold, 300,000 sold? And what's wrong with Jazz radio or what's left of it? Billboard Jazz Charts for April 6, 2013 has Madeleine Peyroux "The Blue Room" @#1. Yet on the Jazz Week Charts for April 8, 2013 Peyroux is not even in the Top 50.
