 resent: \"Jammin' On The Hudson\".\n\nSunday August 23rd will feature 
 the final Concert in our Series this year, and Jammin' is proud to wel
 come, for the first time at this Series a Living Legend; at the time w
 hen he played in The Basie Band he earned the nickname of \"Magic\" be
 cause by all acounts from the other bandmembers he played with; whenev
 er he put that horn to his lips and played, what came out of his horn 
 was pure \"Magic\". He originally hails from Kansas City and lived and
  played in that area before moving to Washington, D.C. Besides being i
 n Count Basie's Big Band, he was also a working member of the original
  'Be-bop' Big Band, led by Billy Eckstine, and worked with Billy Taylo
 r in his Band which was a regular fixture on Television with The David
  Frost Show. A National Endowment For The Arts \"Jazz Master\", who is
  a Master on the Flute, Alto and Tenor Saxophones, this very special t
 alent is the one and only Original \"Mr. Magic\"; Mr. Frank Wess & His
  Quartet:\n\nFrank Wess; Tenor Saxophone / Flute\nIlya Lushtak; Guitar
 \nTal Ronen; Bass\nDenis Mackrel; Drums\n\n\n\"Jammin'; The Summer Con
 cert Series for the 'serious' Jazz Lover!\n\n\nRiverbank State Park is
  located at 679 Riverside Drive in New York; between Riverside Drive a
 nd The Hudson River, the entrance to the Park is at 145th street and R
 iverside Drive.\nOn sunny days the Concert Venue is \"The Mainstage\".
