 sax\n\nTivon Pennicott grew up in the suburbs of Marietta Georgia. Aft
 er being introduced to piano and drums at a very young age, he began s
 erious study of the saxophone at age 12. Within five years, he found h
 imself alongside Wynton Marsalis, winning two outstanding soloist awar
 ds at the 2001 and 2004 Essentially Ellington contest at Lincoln Cente
 r.\n\nTivon recently received his Bachelors degree in Jazz Performance
  from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music. A two-year membe
 r of the Frost Concert Jazz Band, Tivon performed with Maria Schneider
 , Randy Brecker, and Dave Leibman.\nOther Miami performances include W
 yclef Gordon and Roy Hargrove.\n\nTivon occasionally tours with Kenny 
 Burrell in the Jazz Heritage All Stars group, and has played in such p
 restigious venues as Yoshi’s Jazz Club in San Francisco. Currently, 
 he provides musical services as a composer/arranger and performer in M
 iami.\n\n\n\nMark Johnson on drums is a strong player who can effortle
 ssly pull off many of Tony's Williams trademarks, including those rapi
 d Swiss-triplet tom fills. He has performed with Abbey Lincoln, Geri A
 llen, Stanley Turrentine, Cassandra Wilson, David Murray, Wallace Rone
 y, Pharoah Sanders, Lou Donaldson, Ray Spiegal and more. (Readers can
