 istening to the sounds of great Jazz Artists, cast out over The Hudson
  River, at sunset, for Free?!\n\nOn Sunday July 18th we open our Serie
 s with \" The Smokers Union\". The high intensity of this band of Play
 ers, with their 'take no prisoners' attitude promises to be a rare Mus
 ical treat, and is not to be missed! This band is exactly what it says
  it is - \"It's 'Smokin'!\", and maintaining that particular 'mix' wil
 l be; Lakecia Benjamin, Charles Davis Jr. Allen Palmer and Mark Johnso
 n.\n\n\nA powerful young woman is on Alto Sax; Ms. Lakecia Benjamin. A
  native New Yorker, who graduated from The New School, into Clark Terr
 y’s Big Band “Terry’s young Titans of Jazz”, with whom she the
 n began to tour the World. Recently she has also played with Alicia Ke
 yes, Stevie Wonder and Rashied Ali. Tenor Saxophonist, Charles Davis J
 r. originally 'hails' from Milwaukee, and has worked with Roy Haynes, 
 and The Sun Ra Orchestra. Pianist Allen Palmer, has played with Jackie
  McLean, and Abraham Burton, and recently played in the revival of the
  Off-Broadway play “The Connection”. Our bombardier; Mark Johnson 
 has been the rhythmic pulse for Stanley Turrentine, Abbey Lincoln, Dav
 id Murray and quite a few others....\n\n\"Jammin'; The Summer Concert 
 Series for the 'serious' Jazz Lover!\n\nRiverbank State Park is locate
 d at 679 Riverside Drive in New York; between Riverside Drive and The 
 Hudson River, the entrance to the Park is at 145th street and Riversid
 e Drive. On sunny days the Concert Venue is \" The Mainstage\". If it 
 rains Concerts are indoors in an auditorium. Jammin' On The Hudson Con
 certs are from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, and are free!\n\nFor more information
