Tell us about yourself
My family roots began in a small fisherman’s village in Santa Rosa de Aguan ,Honduras Central America. My parents migrated to the Bronx, New York in 1964 where I was born. I am a proud descendant of the Garifuna people who settled in Central America from the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent. Los Angeles has been my residence for the last 20 years, however I have relocated to the east coast(Granby, CT). My musical influences are varied and include Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Hector Lavoe, Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz. My life was forever changed when I got a chance to attend an Artist in Residence program @ The Conservatory of Music in Den Hague with Dr. Barry Harris as a member of The Radiant Voices. She credits The World Stage, The late Billy Higgins, the late Dahl Scott, pianist/composer/arranger Michael Andrews and many other artists and friends who graciously opened the door and provided wonderful opportunities to learn about the art of jazz. “ My goal is to make music that speaks to the love I have for Jazz and Latin music and reflects the Garifuna/Afro/Latina heritage I am proud to have.”

Thanks! And what an honor that night was with everyone! I felt like a little kid surrounded by such amazing entertainers.

I'm not too certain how this site works, but I'm happy to be connected. I've sent it to a couple of friends not in CPJC, so it'll be interesting to find out if they join.

    Yep! Dreamin'...
