Thanks for the comment. I've asked my U.S representative Seton Hawkins to email you the cover of my C.D. " Funkin; for Obama " plus the featured entitled mp3 track honoring the President.
I will mail you the mp3 track "King Tut's Strut" . I'm planning to come stateside in June, hopefully we will touch base. I certainly lokk forward to you visiting South Africa, we have a great jazz festival, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival taking place annually, normally the last weekend of March or first weekend of April. That might a great time to come. Let's stay in touch.

    Regards

Thanks fro the invite and the greeting I look forward to contributing and taking part in the reparte' A question
what does the little notice on the right of the screen that says "there are no birthdays" pertain to? For on the 25th of January there ARE some very special birthdays David "Fathead" Newman - Charlie Rich - Jimmy Heath and Etta James and probably some I can't think of right off hand.
  • Gini

Okay then I shall inform you that today the birthdays to celebrate are those of Anita Baker and Cedar Walton

Please note that there is a typo in the sign in welcome screen
it reads "where people come to me" rather than MEET

I am new at these types of forums but I am really excited to explore and reand read learn and participate
  • Jody Jaress

OKay, so now I need to figure out how to make this site work for me and to enjoy all the members and their music! So far so good.

Of course I have a lot of 'how to' questions... but that's another time.
Keep making your dreams come true....

  • Gordon Neave

Having just joined, I have to say I look forward to meeting and conversing with all who are members of the Washington Jazz Network. May our common passion unite us in the quest of continuing to bring this wonderful art form to the world around us. In a world that is growwing further and further from the bliss of intimacy may the intimacy of our music help to bring some peace to all.

    God Bless
