Cited by the Maryland State Senate as a Jazz Ambassador in 2003, Jazz singer TAMM E HUNT was recognized by former Mayor and current Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley who deemed April 19th "Tamm E Hunt Day" in Baltimore City.

The honorable Charles Rangel, U.S.congressman, NY declared Tamm E Hunt a Harlem Jazz Treasure and a major contributor to keeping Jazz in the forefront in the City of New York and the village of Harlem.
