[For bookings call: 386 237-7259] -- Rob Whiting was born in Washington DC and started playing guitar at 13 years old. He became a member of a very popular rhythm and blues band in high school. In the mid 1960s and early 1970s, Rob performed with a variety of organ trios. He won first place in a jazz guitar contest and spent a week with master guitarist Kenny Burrell. Rob opened for Miriam Makeba in Baltimore Maryland and Washington DC. He has performed with Doug Carn, Eddie Henderson, Steve Williams, Teddy Adams and a host of other great musicians. At present, Rob’s JazzExpress regularly performs in Palm Coast, St. Augustine, Daytona and other nearby locations.
