I write music, too. Came to jazz in the Los Angeles area - Leimert Park to be more exact. I pay homage to 2 mentors - Horace Tapscott and Billy Higgins, true gifts and true friends. They, along with Dr. Derrick Finch are sorely missed. I'll have a page up on My Space, soon. Stay tuned. Oh, and I love the jazz standards and the African root (the drum beat).
