John Coltrane's photo (sitting and holding flute and saxophone) you attached was taken by Charles Stewart at his photo studio around 4 am (meditation time) on May 30, 1966.
I am a friend of Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Bobby Watson and others who came to my Coltrane House of Osaka, Japan for dinner and seeing my Coltrane memorabilia.
I enjoy your interview with them so much.
Keep in touch and I look forward to seeing you personally in my next trip to DC. My last visit to DC was in September 2009 for my lecture at UDC.
Gigi Brooks has been collecting jazz records since the age of 8. Her first radio show "Gina's Jazz" aired on WHPK 88.3 Chicago at the age of 15. Now in its second year, her show "GG's Steamin' Greens" is the highest rated jazz radio show in the country, featuring Classic, Contemporary, and Fusion jazz artists. It is known for its eclectic playlist and feature artists. Gigi is a well respected jazz officiando among major jazz artists. She also participates at major events as MC and helps promote some of the best concerts to date.

The Howard University Jazz Ensemble will present it's Fall Concert @ Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel.
The guest soloist will be saxophonist Javon Jackson. Mr. Jackson is a veteran of the bands of Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Elvin Jones and Les McCann. There will also be a performance by AFRO BLUE, the award winning vocal jazz ensemble.
