Just such an occurrence is what is in store for those who catch a performance of "MONK The Play"

Winner Rome Neal's solo performance is riveting. He is Monk. If there ever was a marriage made in heaven, this is it - between the actor and the material.
incredible "slide" into the essence of the incredible musical genius of
Thelonious Sphere Monk and what drove him, what made him tick; how the political and cultural scene had its impact on his natural talent - is a remarkable work of art.
George V Johnson Jr.
showcases talent and entertainment in the Washington metropolitan area. Producing "Monk" and bringing Neal to the Historic Blair Mansion has to be one of Johnson's most rewarding efforts. Neal brings a wealth of theatrical experience to the role, and give audiences a glimpse into the brain and soul of one of the most inventive pianist of our time.
