Aziza recently performed at BLUES ALLEY to a full house. Each song she had the audience mezmerized with her poetic words and music.

The Creator Has A Master Plan
Peace and Happiness for Every Man
The Creator Makes but one Demand
Peace and Happiness thru All the Land...
"The Legacy Continues"
Leon Thomas is one of the most unique and gifted of all jazz vocalists, he shocked the jazz world with his amazing capabilities when he took it by storm in the late 1960s with his collaborations with Pharoah Sanders.

Leon Thomas born in East St. Louis, Illinois on Oct. 4 1937, and studied music at Tennesseee State University, eventually moving to New York City in 1958. Early sessions included work with names like Count Basie, Randy Weston, Roland Kirk and Oliver Nelson before linking up with Pharoah Sanders for a partnership that continues to entrance listeners today.

Leon recorded on two of Sanders’ most renowned classics “Karma,” (1969) and “Jewels Of Thought,” (1970) and his vocals on the cuts “The Creator Has A Master Plan” and “Hum-Allah” have ensured his reputation. Just as Sonny Sharrock's startling guitar was the unique foil for Pharoah's slashing saxophone, so Leon Thomas had the virtuosity, intensity and blinding originality to keep up with Sanders. It was on these recordings that Leon revealed his unique vocal gift which might best be described as kind of scat-yodelling, offbeat and wonderful sounds which seem to well up from his inner being. Read more...

COLTRANE’S classic “Moments Notice” is a complete gas! Sanders like Coltrane, pulls and holds attention with his entrances.

Bobby Hutcherson’s and

John Hicks solo’s are heated and models of vivid imagination. The three put forth some of the very best solo’s in the entire album.
The there’s the arresting new talent introduced here on compact disc in debute -

GEORGE V JOHNSON JR., whose marvelous lyrics and viocal work are truly auspicous! He sngs with James Moody on occassion and is happily remindflul of the insistent giftness of the late

EDDIE JEFFERSON.

The Legacy Continues...

He's Next in Line!

Johnson’s three stanzars close with ”Relax dig the sounds of Coltrane’s Music. Coltrane fills your heart with love and harmony. Trane played with magic. Listen to the melodies and you will see momently. When you hear the message of his song!”. There’s no doubt in my mind that henceforth George V Johnson sholuld and will be sought for his own gift to the music. He sang the song for Sanders at the Village Vanguard after being introduced by Leon Thomas, and Sanders “felt that George ought to be heard”.

Thank you, Pharoah Sanders for your spirit of sharing! Wheeeeee....what a dynamite track this is~~~~HERBIE WONG! (1981)

The founder for the Russell Herbal Company is Russell Harrison. This Master Wholistic Healer and Herbalist and has also been trained in Iridology and Acupuncture. Russell has been practicing and continually training in his artful field of combined alternative health care for the past twenty-five plus years.

Russell was born in August of 1949 in Harlem N.Y. the 4th of six children. As a young boy Russell showed his entrepreneurial side by expanding a simple stocking job in a local market into a delivery service to senior tenets in the area. Russell recalls making deliveries for some of the more well known residents in the neighborhood such as Nipsey Russell and Ruth Brown. Even at this early age Russell started making the connection between the different diets of these seniors and the "good" or "bad" health that went along with their eating habits.

Testimonials about the Russell Herbal Company

When Russell was thirteen and in the 8th grade his family decided to move to Omaha, Nebraska; needless to say this must have been a great shock to Russell. This would turn out to be the beginning of a very important chapter in Russell's life. "I noticed the stillness of every day life - my clothes where so different - the streets where unpaved, what a shift in reality", were some of Russell's first thoughts when he arrived in Omaha. "I had to do something to fight off the bordom, so I started participating in sports as much as I could". When Russell started in sports he took to it like he dose with most things, by putting all his heart and mind fully into it. At the age of fifteen Russell captured the 1964 National AAU Junior Olympic 100 yard dash record and held it until the event was changed to the 100 meter dash. At football Russell was just as naturally prolific. In his first game on his first carry he made an 80 yard rushing play resulting in a touchdown. Russell was highly recruited city wide by high schools and he eventually attended Omaha Technical High School based on the compassion for players and the game he felt in the Head Coach. His choice paid off, Russell was All-State and All-American (HM) in football and continued to perform very well in track and field, collecting on average 6 medals per tract meet.
When he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1971.During his first year . he showed all of his abilities and was shown the ropes of professional football by all-pro cornerback Kermit Alexander. Other players were extremely helpful throughout were Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen ,Coy Bacon, who also helped to keep a young player's head on straight. As life's ups and downs go, Russell suffered a severe knee injury that all thought would end his career, but he returned the second year only to find disappointments with salary and so he decided to go to TORONTO in the canadian football leaugue only to blow his other knee out. THUS is the beginning of his self examinating goals to find out the truth behind health and diet. Russell's search continues even today as his is always consumed with reading important health issues and sharing as much of this information with his clients.

The 1st Non Asian (African American) to have his name carved in stone on the sacred wall in China with centuries of Kung Fu Masters.

The youngest brother of George V Johnson Jr...Sifu Derek Johnson also known as (Cheung Tai Lik Sifu) started learning Kung Fu from his late Master Dean Chin (Chun Yuk Juen) in Washington DC Chinatown. Derek's primary instructor in Dean Chin's school was Sifu Deric Mims, who was one of the senior instructors in the school. Master Chin passed away in 1985. Master Kong's own Sifu was Grand Master Hung Tai Wai, who graciously accepted Derek into their family.

Jow Ga Lineage

Derek Johnson's Grand Master or Si Gung is  Chan Man Cheung of Hong Kung. So that Cheung Tak Lik could continue learning Jow Ga Kung Fu, Chan Man Cheung introduced him to his next teacher Master Kong Yu Choi of the Jow Biu Chinese Boxing Association Hong Kong. Master Kong Yu Choi did not freely accept students at this time, but fortunately accepted Derek Johnson as his pupil and instructed him for many years while refusing to accept any fee for his teachings.

Derek is the Director of Jow Ga Kung Fu Athletic Association, which has one branch in the United States and another in Krakow Poland. Read more here...
