Before any more water goes under this bridge, I just want to say that the MOON AUGUST REUNION, Saturday, March 21st, started off saddened with the news of Harold Adams' absence and hospitalization the audience sighed in disbelief and concern, but for sure, Moon August played with Harold in their hearts.

Major Boyd is a man with his own distinct sound who appears to easily bellow solos playing one note for what seemed like 5 minutes, with a mastery of multi-reeds - often unpracticed or founded by the younger set. It puts your psychic in the times of the multi-talented bag man. So was Major with the tenor, soprano, the gourd, you name it he had such presence - and the audience awarded his performances with standing ovations. The sound of Moon August was alive and well; true to the legend and the reunion was a great success. On a couple tunes the audience was compelled to sing and bounce to their favorite tunes.

When Greg and Major opened one original tune, the sound put you in the mind of a gentle breeze on a beach or the opening of the heavens. MOON AUGUST!! The tempo was charismatic all night with the seasoned rhythm section of Dupree, Ryan Diehl and Mitchel Coates, for a minute - we all went back in time with some latin tunes and some blues. It was on....... Dupree played everything and anything and handed out the percussions as the group left the building leaving Ryan to keep time as they returned thru a different door. Coates really showed off late in the set but when he did, it became a real funky roll...

At the end of the night, the group photo was taken with a noticeable hole for Harold Adams and the Caton Castle Family wishes you a speedy recovery.

We already know that we'll have Moon August back when Harold gets back in play. So be looking out and don't wait too late to get your tickets

Yes, you may be able to see some of these folks other places but the really good thing about Caton Castle is that the club gives you an intimate view of the performances and you're up close and personal with the performers. Let me know if you need tickets. Reply to this email!!!!
